About Low Cement Andalusite Alumina Castable 60% Al2O3 P-CAST-A60L
Low Cement Andalusite Alumina Castable 60% Al2O3 P-CAST-A60L is a low cement castable based on high alumina chamotte and bauxite and special additives with 59 – 61% Al2O3, suitable for service temperatures up to 1600 °C. It has a hydraulic bond and is installed by casting with vibration. Material type according to the datasheet: Dense refractory concrete; raw material basis: high alumina chamotte and bauxite and special additives.
Low cement castables contain less cement and therefore need less mixing water, which gives a higher density, lower porosity and higher strength than conventional castables of the same family. Andalusite converts to mullite on heating, which supports volume stability and thermal shock resistance.
