Product overview & application
About Low Cement Alumina Castable 85% Al2O3, with Chromium Oxide P-CAST-A85Cr
Low Cement Alumina Castable 85% Al2O3, with Chromium Oxide P-CAST-A85Cr is a low cement castable based on bauxite and special additives with 82 – 85% Al2O3, suitable for service temperatures up to 1700 °C. It has a hydraulic bond and is installed by casting with vibration. Material type according to the datasheet: Low cement, dense refractory concrete; raw material basis: bauxite and special additives.
Low cement castables contain less cement and therefore need less mixing water, which gives a higher density, lower porosity and higher strength than conventional castables of the same family. Chromium oxide improves resistance to slag penetration.
